The Baldwin Fund memorializes Ralph Lyman Baldwin and was created in 1955 by his wife, Christine Reese Baldwin.

Ralph Baldwin, longtime Director of Music for Hartford Public Schools, was the founder of the Choral Club of Hartford in 1907 and conducted it for over 30 years, composing and arranging music.

Each year since its creation scholarship aid and grants have been awarded from the fund. Its three trustees who provide supervision under the terms of the trust are headed up by Robert Bonato. The other trustees are: Terry Crescimanno and Michael Boller.
